Telephone surveys are administered through computer-aided telephone interviewing (CATI) methods that incorporate random digit dialing, complex interview question skip patterns and documentation of quotas in research collection. Targeted lists are part of the emerging technology that enables researchers to talk to the most relevant respondents that meet certain geographic and psychographic criteria. The information is siphoned into a database where answers can be analyzed statistically.
